THE CHILDREN

H.E.L.G.O. takes care of more than 200 children in its three locations in Howrah/Calcutta. Each and every child has its own story and destiny. The Indians do not like talking about private matters which makes it most difficult to get a comprehensive insight into the lives of the children. Sometimes even the date of birth is unknown. Let us introduce a few of the project children at this point whose background is representative for the many other children here. Please take into consideration that some of the children have only had one to two years of English lessons and are therefore not always easy to understand.
