Mohammed Sultan
Date of birth is unknown but is estimated to be 14 years old.

Sultan has been living at the H.E.L.G.O.-hostel for two years because his family of eight all have to live in one tiny hut. His father is a rickshaw puller. All of his brothers and sisters have to work. Sultan came to our centre in Tikiapara on his own initiative saying that he would like to go school instead of having to work even nights in a bakery. Sultan's story is a real success story: after only two years he has a command of English which is above average and is also one of the best in his class. He really is an enrichment for the hostel also because he takes on a lot of responsibility for the life in the community. He also has a high sense of fairness and understanding of courage for his convictions. On top of this he is always good for some fun.
