Asgar Hussain, born 10.11.1985

Asgar used to work in an iron foundry. His family lives in a group of huts made of clay that are typical for the slums of Howrah: several huts each one being between six to ten square meters in size are built around a small yard. One can find between eight and ten people in such a hut i.e. more than 100 people would be living in a space of 100 square meters. Asgar lives in the hostel as he cannot find the peace and quiet he needs to do his homework under the aforementioned conditions.
